Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County, a personal and memory care residence located in Maytown, will kick off its summer concert series with a free blues concert by two-time Blues Music Award (BMA) winner Biscuit Miller and his band, The Mix, on Thursday, June 20, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The outdoor concert will be held at Paramount Senior Living at Lancaster County, located at 2760 Maytown Road, Maytown. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and coolers are not permitted. Those attending the free concert are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and will be allowed to set up starting at 4:30 p.m.
Miller won his first BMA as Best Bass Player in 2012. He won the award again in 2017 and has played with other respected blues artists such as Mojo Buford, formerly with Muddy Waters, and Lady Blue, who toured with Ike and Tina Turner.
Miller is known for his high-energy shows and connecting with his audience through a fun and funky approach to the blues. Miller plays bass and handles the lead vocals and will be joined by Doctor Love, Myron Robinson (drums), Bobby B. (guitar), and Alex "Southside" Smith (guitar).
