The City of Lancaster Office of Public Art has opened a new exhibit in City Hall Gallery, 120 N. Duke St., Lancaster. Brant Schuller's "Redistricting: 50 Variations on 13 Shapes" is free and open to the public.
This fine art exhibit reimagines the 50 states' voting districts and the power that comes with reordering them. The show coincides with the efforts of city and county government to make sure that everyone is counted for the 2020 census, and the show is scheduled to run through Jan. 3, 2020. It includes a self-serve station where visitors can create their own district lines with stamps. The print station will be operable throughout the period of exhibition.
City Hall Gallery is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26 and Jan. 1, 2020.
