Neidig To Perform At Cafe

Singer-songwriter Kevin Neidig will perform in concert at Emmaus Road Cafe, 1886 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, on Saturday, May 11. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Neidig is known for his intricate timing, ingenuity with keys and tempos, flexible vocals, and varied repertoire, ranging from traditional bluegrass to the latest pop number on the radio. Neidig's influences include Darrell Scott, Tim O'Brien, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, and Tony Rice. He also performs the occasional metal tune and songs by Foo Fighters, Allman Brothers Band, and others. He plays the guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

As part of the band Voxology, Neidig performed at the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City and has opened for renowned acts such as Doc Watson, Peter Rowan, Tom Paxton, and the Alison Brown Quartet. He has also played at colleges and universities, including Bucknell, Penn State, and Cornell, and at festivals from Arkansas to New York, such as Ohio's Funk-N-Groove Music Spectacular, Spoutwood Farm's Fairie Festival, and Harrisburg's Kipona Arts Festival. He is the owner of a guitar studio, established 17 years ago in Mechanicsburg, where he teaches guitar and mandolin.
