Like many other entities, theaters across the country, including Prima, have had to temporarily close their doors in an effort to protect patrons and team members. In the midst of Prima's event postponements, its under-stage basement flooded, rendering significant losses under 15 inches of water.
In order to engage and support the community, Prima has launched Prima AtHome, offering video streaming content from both past productions and new living room concerts. Readers may visit http://www.primalancaster.org/athome to peruse streaming concerts and theater productions.
Prima AtHome plans to release material every four days throughout April. An entire month of AtHome is free with a minimum set donation. These funds will provide resources to local out-of-work theater artists and ensure Prima is able to create programming in the future.
