TAFE Will Offer Summer Camps

Theatre Arts For Everyone (TAFE) will host summer camps. The camps will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 700 E. Market St., York.

Three camps will be offered during the week of Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28. "Play Is the Way," from 9 a.m. to noon, is an acting experience for young first-time actors ages 3 to 5. Beginning actors ages 6 to 8 may participate in "Play Is the Way" from 1 to 4 p.m. The production "Rupert Meets Mrs. Tales" will be performed via a camp held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for children and youths ages 9 to 16 with any level of theater experience, as well as students with physical or learning challenges.

During the week of Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, two camps will be offered. "An Introduction to Musicals" for children ages 6 to 8 will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bringing to life a musical production of "The Princess and the Pauper" will be the focus of a camp for youths ages 7 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the week of Monday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 2, "Step Back in Time" will be offered for youths ages 12 to 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp will highlight the Renaissance era of King Henry's England. This camp will include a visit to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire Youth Day.
